how to trust in God

Proverbs 3: 5-6 says.....

"TRUST IN THE LORD"

well that's easier said than done!!

it's so easy for us to read about trusting in the Lord... and it's easy to hear about trusting in the Lord.

but take like 30 seconds and truly ask yourself, do YOU trust In the Lord with all your heart?

If I'm being honest.... if you would have asked me that a couple months ago.... I don't know what I would have said!

because for so long I would just read about it and say I did, but I never truly, truly did! It was always half of my trust. I was only one foot in the door with God.

but the thing is that God calls us to "trust in the Lord with ALL our hearts".... key word ALL!! not half of it... not half way in ... but ALL OF OUR HEARTS !!!

so how can we trust in the Lord?

well let's look into what the definition of trust is ...

trust= firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.

In order to trust something or someone, you have to believe in them (or it) with all your heart, all your mind, all your being!

so you have to ask yourself, DO YOU BELIEVE IN GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, ALL YOUR MIND, AND ALL YOUR BEING?

if you say no, then homie ... let me tell you... you should really consider it, because JESUS IS THE BEST THING THAT CAN EVER HAPPEN TO YOU! God has changed my life for the better, and everything that has happened to me (or not happened to me) has been because God is so present in my life, and has never left my side....

so once I got a better grip on my beliefs... is when that trust started to break through the surface. I knew I could trust God with everything I had, because I did believe in Him, and I had seen how present God had been in my life.

if you need more hard grounding facts .... just think about the 12 disciples of Jesus! how was it that they just got up and went with Jesus!

the 12 disciples were ordinary people with ordinary lives. they had jobs, they had families, they had homes, and STABILITY!!! yet when Jesus told them to leave everything and follow Him, they TRUSTED HIM AND JUST DID IT!

they believed in Jesus enough, and they TRUSTED that Jesus would help them and guide them down a good path, and take care of everything ELSE!!!

think about it! if you had your family, you had your husband/wife, you had your dream job, you had a home, and this man comes up to you and says "follow me".... WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

WE HAVE TO TRUST IN THE LORD!!

we have to trust Jesus in every aspect of our lives... we have to hold onto that trust like its our LIFELINE!!!

pray about it! ask God to help you trust Him, and I promise you HE WILL NEVER disappoint ! HE WILL SHOW UP IN YOUR LIFE LIKE CRAZY.... and next time life tries to throw you a curve ball... you'll realize that you do in fact trust God will all your heart, and all your mind, and all your soul!
