the person who inspires me the most...

I debated for a couple minutes about what I should write about first... and I decided to talk about the person who is probably my biggest inspiration! that is my mom!!!

My mom is Maria Ortega, and her story is just so CRAZY! She was born in Mexico City (which is probs my fav place in Mexico so far) and came to the U.S. at about 6 years old. She kinda had to grow up fast and learn how to navigate living in this country because she is the oldest daughter. She's honestly been through so much, and I wish I could share more about her story, but that's her story to share....

My mom had my brother and me at a very young age, and she still managed to work full-time and still take care of her two kiddos. I remember at that time in our lives, we didn't have a lot of money, and my parents worked hard to provide everything we needed and desired. When my lil sissy came, we had to squeeze into our one-bedroom apartment for a couple of months, until my parents could afford a bigger home. The crazy part is, they never once made that apartment feel small. In fact, I miss that apartment a lot! I pass by it every now and then and remember the days when my parents would work full-time, sometimes having to leave us with my aunt or uncle, and then coming home to make dinner or play with us. I know that was because my mom was always working hard to give us the things that she never had when she was growing up. She wanted to make sure that we had the best opportunities and life experiences that she unfortunately couldn't have or missed out on.

My mom is the strongest, bravest, hardest-working woman I know. Everything she has is because she worked for it and she saw a goal and just went for it. She's taught me to always dream big and work hard to achieve that dream. She's taught me to be strong because if I wasn't, then life would knock me down. She's taught me to always have hope and not stress over the things that I can't control, and if I run into a problem, then there is ALWAYS a way!

but above all... she's taught me to ALWAYS trust God no matter the situation or circumstance. Pray, pray, PRAY... FOR EVERYTHING! God will provide and show you the way and open the door and give you peace of mind.... if, and only if, it is in GOD'S PLAN! My love for Jesus has only grown and stayed consistent because my parents have always pushed me and been faithful to the Lord!
